• I bought this set for a 7 year old who reads extremely well. She dived into the first one within minutes of opening the gift! Her Mom says that she loves them--just as she did. And her Grammy did. And I did . And my daughter did! Classic Children's Literature!
• I enjoyed reading these books again after 70+ years. What added most to my rereading was having read "Prairie Fires The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder." The innocence with which I read her books as a child growing up in the prairies of South Dakota during depression and drought was gone. But now I am aware of the author's challenges and human flaws.
• Reading these classic tales to my 5 year old granddaughter takes me back to my own childhood when my mother read them to me. I think my granddaughter loves them as much as I did. It’s wonderful that the original illustrations are reproduced.
• When my 4th-grader had trouble going to sleep, I handed him these books from my childhood (and my mother's before me). He now has an interest in my arts-and-crafts side, like making soap and paper by hand. These are paperback, so take care of them. It is great to have the box to tuck them back into.
• I bought these for me, very well written and my grand daughter started reading them right after me. She is 10 and loves to read.
• Bought for my granddaughter so she would have the same wonderful memories of these books that I do!
• 8 year old granddaughter loves reading aloud from these books at bed time; when her brothers' eyes start glazing over, she continues to read silently. Very "into" the story lines and characters.
• Enjoyed the whole set of books, well illustrated box to hold colorful well written books, that held my attention from start to end.
  
  These books are for children, but I learned so much how the pioneers, went through.
